McKenzie Damon

My name is Kenzie Damon, I am 24 years old, and I live in Brooklyn, WI. I graduated from UW-Madison with a Bachelor’s of Science in psychology and legal studies. I am currently in grad school pursuing a Masters of Social Work with a focus of children and families with an emphasis on trauma. I currently work for MSCR and spend my time tutoring and running after-school activities at O’Keeffe Middle School in Madison. In my free time I love to spend time with family and friends, watch sports, and play power soccer. I have been part of the WALH family for 6 years and I have loved every minute of it. Before WALH, I attended MDA Summer Camp every year since I was 5 years old. In the past, I was a local MDA ambassador during which I attended fundraising events and helped to spread the word about camp for kids living with neuromuscular diseases. I hope to contribute to WALH by helping plan camp, fundraising, and coordinating other events. I would like to run for the Board of Directors because I love this organization and I want to help in any way I can to make WALH Summer Camp the best week of the year for everyone!
